What time does YVWFF start and finish?

Saturday 1st April – 11am till 9pm
Sunday 2nd April – 11am till 5pm

Which day should I attend?

Both days of the Festival will feature all cooking demonstrations, entertainment, masterclasses and general activities. For those with families we recommend Sunday as that is Family Day and there will be more kids entertainment on offer. To help you decide, explore the full details for each area of the Festival throughout the website.

How do I get to the venue?

The Festival is located at Rochford Wines – 878-880 Maroondah Hwy, Coldstream, VIC.
There are a number of ways to get to the festival, such as drive there, or book a transfer on a bus.

Where can I park?

There will be parking available at Rochford on the day. A gold coin donation to the CFA parking volunteers is greatly appreciated. Parking is at owner’s risk. Parking outside of the venue on surrounding roads is not permitted.

What buses can I catch?

There will be bus transfers operating from Federation Square both days. Tickets for these are available through Ticketmaster, Rochford, and Melbourne On The Move.

There will also be a shuttle transfer operating from Lilydale Station. Tickets for these can be purchased through Wild Wombat Winery Tours. You can also book a bus from your location accommodation through Wild Wombat Winery Tours as well.

Can my group book a bus to the festival?

We recommend contacting either Melbourne On The Move or Wild Wombat Winery Tours to discuss group bookings.

Will there be tickets available on the day?

Tickets will be able available for purchase at the Festival Box Office near the entry to the venue.

If for some reason I can no longer attend can I get a refund on my ticket?

On purchasing your Festival tickets, you would have agreed to terms and conditions of purchase as outlined by Ticketmaster (“Terms of Sale”). These Terms of Sale generally only permit refunds and exchanges in limited circumstances; for example, if the Festival has been cancelled, rescheduled or relocated.

Can I bring my kids?

Certainly, YVWFF is a family friendly event. Children 12 years and under can enter for free but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

What kids entertainment will there be?

There will be kids entertainment on both days but mostly on Sunday when we’ll be featuring The Dreaming Space and a special kids entertainment area. For the big kids on both days, there will be Segway rides available.

Will I need proof of age identification?

As the festival is a licensed venue, patrons may be required to provide proof of age on entry or at the bar.

Are there vegetarian and vegan options for food?

There will be a number of different food providers in the Food Carnivàle area, some providing vegetarian options and possibly vegan. More information about what is on offer can be found under the Food Carnivàle section.

Can I bring my own food or drink?

The Festival aims to please with a wide range of food options on offer. As it is a licensed event you will not be able to BYO alcohol or drinks. If you have any specific dietary requirements that mean you would need to bring your own food please get in touch with us on info@yarravalleywineandfoodfestival.com.au to discuss your needs further.

Can I bring a picnic blanket and some fold up chairs?


May I bring a pet?

Although we at YVWFF love pets of all types, unfortunately, they are not able to come to the Festival (except guide dogs).

Will the Rochford Cellar Door be available during the Festival?


Do you have facilities and access for disabled people?

Yes, there is facilities and access provided for disabled people. Please be mindful of the fact that the Festival is an outdoor event on the grassed area of Rochford Wines so there may be some uneven surfaces.

What will the weather be like?

Good question. Weather in April in the Valley is usually quite lovely but one never knows.

Am I able to purchase bottles at the Festival?

During the Festival you will only be able to purchase wines, beer and cider by the glass in The Laneways however you will be able to order wines by the dozen and half dozen for home delivery in the week following the Festival.

Will there be water provided?

Yes free drinking water will be available at the Festival

Can I bring a camera?

Yes, we encourage you taking lots of photos and tagging our event in your social posts! But we prefer no drones naturally. If you are planning on bringing professional camera equipment we request you speak to our media contacts in advance to arrange a special pass so there are no issues on the day.

Will I be filmed?

The Festival team and sponsors will be filming and taking photos for promotional purposes, entry to the Festival implies consent to be filmed or photographed.

What kind of phone reception will there be?

Rochford Wines has access to all phone carrier providers, however naturally at all events with lots of people in one place, reception can become limited.

Who do I contact in case of lost items during, or after, the festival?

Lost Property will be located at Festival Central information during the event. Following the Festival weekend please contact Rochford Wines.

Will there be breath testing available at the festival?
